    Responsibilities

    In this role, the SBC will build, account for, and report on changes being recommended to Southwest's routes and frequencies within the annual plan, and make recommendations to improve the network and expand revenue and profit margins.

    • Leads  and owns execution of analyses related to own area.
    • Acts as a representative of area and makes presentations to various internal and external partners and functions.
    • Builds up team’s knowledge of airline industry, Southwest, and area.
    • Represents the role model of a healthy and spirited department and team culture.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and present timely and actionable highly visible/complex projects or tasks including the preparation and communication of analytical efforts and proposals.
    • Ensure high quality execution of projects, initiatives, cross functional programs, and tasks.
    • Lead interactions with other teams and departments.
    • Ensure team experiences a healthy and spirited team Culture where all employees receive the training, experience and nurturing they need to pursue successful careers.
    • Guide innovation, business process, and tool development ensuring business needs are met.
    • Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.
    • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.

    Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

    EDUCATION:

    • High School diploma or equivalency required.
    • Four year bachelor’s degree required.

    WORK EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of five to eight years of experience in relevant field required.
    • Experience in the airline or transportation industry preferred.
    • Proficiency in performing business forecasting preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft products required.

    PHYSICAL ABILITIES: 

    • Most activities conducted in typical office environment which requires light lifting to overhead files and shelves.

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must be able to work under strict time constraints.
    • Must be detail oriented.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Must be self-motivated and be able to perform with minimal direct supervision.
    • Strong skills in formatting and presenting data and information.
    • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
    • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.

    • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

    OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Working knowledge/experience using Tableau
    • Working knowledge/experience using SQL
    • Airline Network and Route Forecasting experience
    • Strong knowledge of airline KPI's/metrics
