    As part of the Internal Evaluation Program (IEP), conduct Air Operations Assurance audits to ensure compliance with SWA policies, procedures and Federal regulations.



    • Provides friendly service to and maintains positive relationships with all internal and external Customers
    • Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our Company
    • Performs duties and functions as outlined in the Safety Management Manual
    • Performs Internal Evaluation Program audits per Safety Management Manual
    • Conducts In-brief & Out-brief with Organizational Leadership
    • Conducts and document observations and interviews
    • Conducts Air Operations related IOSA audits
    • Records audit results
    • Identifies and documents Air Operations Assurance nonconformities
    • Input and manage audit data via a computing system
    • Assist in the development of AOA Data Collection Tools 
    • Recommends policy and procedures changes for process improvements to Air operations Assurance Leadership
    • Complies with directives set forth by the Manager Air Operations Assurance
    • Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.
    • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.



    • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
    • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.


    • High School Diploma or equivalency required.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. College degree (specialization in aviation, auditing and/or safety preferred). Equivalent work experience of at least 1 year using quality assurance methods and practices. 


    • 1 year operational experience in flight operations, dispatch, inflight or related area with part 121 operations reqiured
    • 1 year experience and working knowledge of operational technology applications (e.g MS Word, OTIS) preferred
    • Evaluation, auditing and Safety experience preferred
    • Experience as an IEP Auditor with IOSA auditing preferred
    • Experience in research and writing skills for document/report preparation preferred
    • Demonstrated experience in communicating and working with multiple organizations preferred
    • Knowledge of CFRs, OpSpecs, FAA Order 8900.1, IOSA and other regulatory requirements and guidance preferred




    • Must be able to lift and/or move items of 50 pounds and/or more on a periodic basis.
    • Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a periodic basis.
    • 10%-20% travel with potential for increased/decreased travel based on Safety & Security Department needs.
    • May require extended work hours per Leader's request.


    • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
    • Ability to clearly articulate complex situations.
    • Must be able to understand airline operational, technical documents and data
    • Strong organizaitonal skills with attention to detail
    • Ability to produce reports (written, charts, graphs)
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and as a team player
    • Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our Company
    • Provides friendly service to and maintains positive relationships with all Internal and External Customers
    • Able to research/understand requirements, policies and procedures of all SWA Operational Teams.
    • Ability to develop and present data & information to Sr. Leadership.


    • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information.
    • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
