Oversees the management of supplier performance (determines supplier mix and service level targets, benchmarks suppliers, assists with dispute resolution)

Assists in refining processes to support new sourcing techniques as needed while carrying out IT procurement strategy that is aligned with the overall corporate IT and business strategy priorities
Helps build strategic procurement capabilities through training with cross-functional Teams, training on new techniques , and knowledge of the global technology products and services market and its trends
Develops expertise in advanced procurement methods, including, but not limited to: Strategic Sourcing, Transactional
Efficiencies, Global Sourcing, Value Engineering, TCO, and Supplier Development within the Team
Creates and implements project or work plans for projects; holds others accountable to plan
Works with Sr. Leadership across SWA to develop sourcing strategies in support of their business objectives
Works with Teams to develop and implement category strategies and implement process improvements
Determines the workload for the Team and delegates accordingly, coaches on contracting for MSA, License, & SAAS agreements
Develop technology procurement talent, succession planning, and training and mentoring direct reports to accept appropriate responsibility

Ability to perform work duties from desk/office work area for extended periods of time.
Performs duties required of Team including, but not limited to:
Provide direction and guidance around day-to-day activities related to sourcing and payment activities
Negotiate and draft complex contractual documents (master agreement, statement of work, maintenance agreement, service levels, etc;)
Works with Legal, Insurance, Tax and other relevant departments to ensure that their requirements are captured in contracts
Research, recommend and implement cost saving ideas
Ensures policies and procedures are followed
Must demonstrated Leadership skills, modeling the Southwest Leadership expectations
Maintains a positive Team environment through regular interaction with Customers, Team Members, Peers and administrative staff including participation in Team meetings and events
Develops and implements Team goals, conducts teambuilding activities. Coaches and mentors others; provides timely and effective feedback on performance and career guidance
Writes and delivers performance appraisals for assigned Team Members
Manage compensation per company salary guidelines for assigned Team Members
Must be able to manage multiple individuals with a broad scope and large volume of projects simultaneously
Provides input for and assists with budget development and ensures effective utilization of fiscal resources
Participates in community and industry organizations to learn and apply best practices
Leads and/or participates in special projects and Company/Departmental functions
Tracks and analyzes Team's performance by monitoring key productivity measurements
